Two South Carolina basketball players arrested

The news just keeps going from bad to worse for the South Carolina basketball team.

Just two days after five players were suspended indefinitely, two of those players have been arrested.

Freshman Eric Cobb and teammate Jamall Gregory were arrested on Thursday for assault and property damage after shooting a BB pellet gun at an occupied car. Cobb was charged with one count of malicious injury to private property along with third-degree assault and battery. Gregory, on the other hand, was charged with three counts of malicious injury to person property and one of count of malicious injury to real property.

All of the incidents allegedly took place between March 7-9.

The charges are misdemeanors, and both players were booked and released on bond. The players were part of the five suspended, but it was only stated to be due to issues involving their conduct. It could be safe to assume that, for the cases of Cobb and Gregory, the BB Gun incident was the reason behind the suspensions.
