Since declaring the possibility of transferring from Fordham, star guard Eric Paschall has interest from plenty of schools. However, Paschall announced Tuesday that he has narrowed his list of possible destinations to Fordham, Florida, Kansas, Providence and Villanova.
A season ago the A-10 Freshman of the Year averaged 15.8 points per game for the Rams, but has since decided to pursue a better overall program after such a strong rookie campaign.
Still, there may be light at the end of the tunnel for the struggling Fordham Rams squad, and if Paschall returns to Fordham, the Rams could be viewed as an up and coming program.
Nonetheless, the primary reason Fordham remains in the picture is because Paschall wouldn’t be forced to sit out a season staying with the Rams.
On the other hand, any potential transfer would result in Paschall missing the 2015-16 season, however, the move could be beneficial for Paschall’s future as he hopes to continue his career professionally and moving to power conference program would drastically change the way scouts view the 6-foot-6 swingman.
It remains unclear when Paschall will make his decision by, but one would suspect that he will likely make his final selection by the time classes let out for the summer.
