Jaquiski Tartt reunites with high school teammate in SF

In the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected former Samford defensive back Jaquiski Tartt.

Tartt is expected to begin his career as a backup behind Eric Reid and Antoine Bethea.

While Tartt is not expected to make an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball, there is a cool little note to his story that surfaced once he was selected to San Francisco.

Tartt has a strong connection with last year’s 49ers first-round pick, Jimmie Ward.

As it turns out, the two players were high school teammates at Davidson HS (AL), so now they reunite at the highest level. Having an old high school teammate will have to help with the comfortability and smoothness of making a transition to the pros.
