Randy Gregory falls to Dallas Cowboys in Round 2

The Randy Gregory freefall has ended.

Gregory entered the draft season as a projected top ten selection, but a failed drug test at the NFL Scouting Combine and some questions about his ability to handle the mental rigors of the NFL led to Gregory’s fall.

Finally, in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft with the 60th overall pick, Gregory got that phone call he was waiting for.

On the other end of the call was Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who selected Gregory to be a new member of the ever-improving defensive line.

With Greg Hardy suspended for the first ten games of the season, Gregory will have an opportunity to contribute from Day 1. Gregory will be looking to show the Cowboys that he was worth the risk.
