Wimbledon lineswoman shakes off serve to the head

I won’t lie, my pain threshold is incredibly low. So low, in fact, that when a friend gets a paper cut, a single tear streams down my face. Being such, I have no idea how someone could withstand the impact of a 130 MPH ball to their body, much less their head.

Ivo Karlovic, a 6-foot-10 Croatian tennis player, aced a serve so fast at Wimbledon that it cannonballed directly past his opponent, and struck a lineswoman square on the forehead. Now talk about some good aim!

What’s more impressive than the serve, however, is the fact that the lineswoman almost returned the ball by mere force of withheld pain.

Accidents like these are common place at the professional levels of tennis, and usually the offending player will apologize with the lineperson shrugging it off – even if they are clearly crying. Cause, you know, things like that don’t hurt – even baseball players don’t get hurt by their balls…

But this line person just smiles and gets back into position. Just watching that, I got a bump on my head.

Now, people say that that’s boss, but I want to see what she’s hiding behind those sunglasses.
