Rumors: 5-star recruit Harry Giles to Duke

The Duke Blue Devils basketball recruiting strategy has been a hot topic of discussion in recent years as head coach Mike Krzyzewski has changed from his standard four year players to top level talent no matter their NBA aspirations.

This new approach has already paid dividends for Coach K and now reports have surfaced that five-star recruit Harry Giles will wind up a Blue Devil.

One top college assistant told SNY’s Adam Zagoria that he thinks Giles will likely play at Duke.

If the North Carolina native joins the Blue Devils program, he would be the third straight high-profile player (Jabri Parker, Jahlil Okafor) to pick Duke.

Still, competition remains from some of college basketballs top schools including Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, and Syracuse.

Whichever team is lucky enough to be rewarded with Giles’ services receives a 6-10 big man with an exceptional skill set capable of dominating any game.

One thing fans have learned is never bet against Duke and this is certainly not any different.
