Class of 2016 four-star athlete Christian Wallace, out of Obra D. Thompkins High School in Katy, Texas, near Houston, released his top five college choices on Twitter. Needless to say, each program is a great one.
Funny that TCU is on the list, considering how Wallace de-committed from them back in February, but the call of Gary Patterson’s strong offense must be too hard to ignore. Wallace currently plays running back and safety, so a system like TCU’s, Oklahoma’s or Texas’s could end up being ideal for him. The same can be said for Mississippi State, whose fast-paced offense under coach Dan Mullen is ideal for a running back, should that be the position Wallace ends up playing.
The odd man out on the list is Oregon State, which is not even in the national championship conversation and hasn’t won a conference title since 2000.
But Wallace’s list is his own and in the end, he’s going to pick where he feels he will be the happiest.
Campus Sports will update Wallace’s decision-process as more information becomes available.
