UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is a very special athlete. Her latest title defense at UFC 190 in Brazil was just another example of that, as previously undefeated Brazilian challenger Bethe Correia became the latest challenger to fall to the champion in under a minute.
Rousey’s latest performance and the atmosphere after her win was so impressive, that she was very emotional after the fight.
Not only was Rousey emotional during her post-fight interview at HSBC Arena, but UFC commentator Joe Rogan was also fighting back tears. He admitted as much on Twitter during the fight.
That was the first time I ever almost cried while interviewing a fighter. @RondaRousey is something insanely special.

Of course, Rogan received a hard time from the fans.
I woke up to a parade of tweets calling me a bitch for almost crying during the @RondaRousey interview last night. #GuiltyAsCharged

It is hard to judge someone for getting emotional in such a unique environment, so just watch the interview for yourself to see how special everyone in the Octagon knew the moment was.
