Tuesday night’s practice for the Dallas Cowboys may have come with some bad news for the defense.
During the session, cornerback Orlando Scandrick went down with an injury. As soon as Scandrick was on the turf, he reportedly began screaming obscenities and was surrounded by his teammates.
Shortly after, he was carted off of the field.

It was clear from the beginning that Scandrick was in obvious pain and that it could be a serious injury. According to Rapoport, it didn’t take long for the Cowboys to fear their defensive back suffered a torn ACL.

That is an obvious blow to the Cowboys defense.
Scandrick was the team’s top corner and, without him, his absence means that the team will have to rely more heavily on former first-round pick Morris Claiborne, who has struggled as a pro, and 2015 first-round pick Byron Jones.
