Kliff Kingsbury in no hurry to name starting QB

One week away from the start of the 2015 college football season, many schools around the country still have unanswered questions at the quarterback position.

Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury has decided to not yet name a starting quarterback for their opening game against Sam Houston State.

According to reports from KLBK’s Andrew Doak, even though at Big 12 Media Days earlier this month Kingsbury had once told the media the Red Raiders would announce it’s starting quarterback before fall camp, Kingsbury has decided to hold off on that decision.

“I just like the way it’s going,” said Kingsbury. “They’re all pushing each other at a high level… competing at a high level, and so, we’ll keep that going.”

Although he may like the competition between Patrick Mahomes and Davis Webb, fans still may be getting a little worried.
