Cody Kessler supports Helton as next USC head coach

There are ten head coaching vacancies in the FBS right now and there is probably no bigger opening than the one in Pasadena. Clay Helton stepped in as interim head coach at USC after Steve Sarkisian was fired nearly a month ago and has done a fairly good job since then.

The Trojans are 2-1 since Helton took the reigns and are only a game back of Utah in the PAC-12 South.

One team leader for the Trojans would love to see Helton hired on as the next coach.

If Helton is to lead this team to a 9-3 record and possibly a spot in the PAC-12 championship game, it would be hard to pass him up as a possible candidate for the position. He has Kessler’s blessing, which is good enough to me.
