After week 9, the PAC 12 North seems to be Stanford’s to lose, but with Oregon only two games back, every game counts, especially when the Ducks and Cardinal meet on November 14.
The PAC 12 South remains up for grabs. Utah leads, but USC and UCLA remain just one game behind. So if Utah slips up, one of the Los Angeles teams could take the South.
Here’s how the top 5 rank after week 9.
The Ducks are back in the top 5 after beating Arizona State, 61-55. While they’re two games behind Stanford, they’re still second in the PAC 12 North and have a shot at playing in the championship game.
While they are 3-2 in conference play, the Trojans beat Cal Saturday to still keep their hopes alive for a PAC 12 south title.
UCLA jumps a spot this week after narrowly beating Colorado on Saturday. They improve to a 3-2 record in conference play, but are 6-2 overall; slightly better than USC.
Utah still leads the PAC 12 South, but with a 4-1 record in conference play, they sit behind the Cardinal. If the Utes win out, they’re into the Championship game.
Stanford remains atop the PAC 12 as the only team 6-0 in conference play. They’re 7-1 with that lone loss to Northwestern to start the season. They haven’t locked up their spot in the title game just yet; they’ll have to beat Oregon to officially secure it.
