Tennessee Titans fire Ken Whisenhunt

The Tennessee Titans haven’t looked good at all this year. After going 2-14 and getting the number two overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the team looked to to have a lot of promise with former Oregon quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota at the helm.

Aside from a Week 1 beatdown of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Titans have looked terrible. The team has lost six straight games and after their most recent 20-6 loss to AFC South rival Houston Texans, the Titans have decided to go in a different direction with their coaches.

Whisenhunt was only 23 games into his tenure with the Titans, but he has amassed a 3-20 record in those games. This brings his overall record to 48-71 as he hasn’t led a team to the playoffs since he did so with the Arizona Cardinals in 2009.
