Ohio State megafan LeBron James has decided that he won’t wait until game week to take jabs at the rival Michigan Wolverines.
Before his Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Detroit Pistons, James was asked about the upcoming matchup where he let it be known that he clearly thinks OSU is the better team. And he doesn’t care that Jim Harbaugh happens to be the man in charge.
“It doesn’t matter who’s the coach over at Michigan, it’s always a rivalry,” he said via WXYZ. “We really don’t care who’s at the helm over there.”
Of course, the Buckeyes have to take care of business against Michigan State on Saturday for next week’s game against Michigan to really have any major significance. James isn’t worried though, and he has total confidence in head coach Urban Meyer.
“I think Urban Meyer will prepare the team to do their job in all three facets of the game,” he said. “They’ll be ready to go.”
Ohio State, who sits at a perfect 10-0 on the season, is just wins over Michigan State and Michigan from likely cementing their place in the College Football Playoff for the second-straight season. It’s clear that James thinks they’ll make it there again, but the Spartans and Wolverines are sure to have something to say about that.
Besides, the Spartans are trying to play their way into the playoff as well.
