UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo appeared on the UFC 194 media call to promote his upcoming featherweight title unification bout with Conor McGregor.
During that call, Aldo explained that he wants this fight with McGregor badly. So much that he’s made sure that he is 100 percent come fight night.
“I’m 100 percent; since that last fight and since I got back in it, I’ve been healed up,” Aldo said. “I want this fight to happen, this is when it’s going to happen, so I’m 100 percent right now.” Aldo said.
Aldo had to pull out of their original fight back at UFC 189 due to a rib injury. On Dec. 12, he will finally get the chance to come face-to-face with McGregor in the cage.
While there is some extra attention on this fight, the Brazilian made it clear that this fight is no different for him. He will go in with the same mindset that he always does. Just win baby.
“There’s really no difference (between this fight and my others); you’re going to see me go in there and get the win,” Aldo said. “I don’t really care how I win I just care about winning. Really the only difference is I always beat Americans and this time I’m going to beat an Irishman. To me, he’s just the same. I’ve fought a lot of the top fighters out there, and to me, he’s really just another opponent that I have to go in there and beat.”
UFC 194 takes place on December 12th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
