Green Bay Packers defensive back Damarious Randall has reportedly won the NFL Rookie of the Month award for the month of November.

Packers DB Damarious Randall wins NFL Rookie of the Month

Damarious Randall was a major surprise selection by the Green Bay Packers with the No. 30th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. They were expected to go with a linebacker or a true cornerback, but they took the safety out of Arizona State instead.

Randall has been a major surprise to those that doubted him and was officially named the NFL Rookie of the Month for November.

Finding a true lockdown cornerback to play the opposite side of the field from Sam Shields was a must for the Packers. Asking a rookie to replace Tramon Williams was a risky move by Green Bay, but Randall has stepped up and passed the major test with flying colors.

Throughout his rookie season, Randall has compiled 44 tackles, two interceptions and 12 defensed passes.

Green Bay has yet to see even close to the full potential that Randall possesses either. That alone should excite the fans, as Randall has much more potential to unlock over the next few seasons. He is just 23 years old and is already making this much of a difference to receive all of this recognition.
