Briana Martin of Fancred grew curious one day of how far each bowl team had to travel for their bowl games, and voila she created an infographic that details how many miles each team has to travel to get to their bowl. In the end Cincinnati led the way having to fly a whopping 4435.32 miles to get to the Hawai’i Bowl. Navy and New Mexico tied for the least number of miles needed with 0 – they’re both playing at their home stadiums.
Of the College Football Playoff teams, Michigan State will travel the farthest while Oklahoma is the team closest to their bowl game.
In terms of conferences, the Big Ten’s teams will log the most frequent flier miles while the MEAC’s teams will earn the least.
I mean, the Cincinnati Bearcats have a good 4,500 mile trip, but at least it’s to Hawaii, right?
