Tulane names Willie Fritz head coach

The latest FBS head coaching position to be closed is the Tulane Green Wave’s job. As a result, Georgia Southern’s head coaching job has now become opening as head coach Willie Fritz has taken the job in New Orleans.

The news was reported by multiple outlets on Friday as Fritz leaves Statesboro after just two seasons. He carries with him one of the more impressive records in college football.

Fritz led Sam Houston State to two FCS National Championship games in four seasons with the Bearkats. He also went 97-47 in 13 seasons with Central Missouri and led the Eagles to an 8-0 record and a Sun Belt Championship in 2014.
