Kirby Smart has officially replaced Mark Richt as the head coach at Georgia and one recruiting domino has fallen as a result, with four-star quarterback Bailey Hockman announcing his de-commitment from the program on Twitter.
A pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2017, Hockman currently stars for McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, near Atlanta. On top of the Bulldogs, he has offers in hand from a number of programs including Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Stanford, Michigan State and many others.
Georgia is still on the table and Smart may not be the reason that Hockman de-committed from the program, but the timing of it is such that it simply cannot be ruled out.
