Duke F Amile Jefferson out indefinitely with foot injury

The Duke Blue Devils are in the middle of a successful season right now, but it looks like one of their biggest pieces will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

According to reports, Duke forward Amile Jefferson will be out indefinitely with a right foot injury. The extent of the injury has not been disclosed at this time, but head coach Mike Krzyzewski did comment on the injury.

“This injury is unfortunate, to say the least, but Amile is strong in both person and character,” Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “He will continue to be an integral part of this team, and we will support him fully as he rehabs this foot injury.”

So far, Jefferson averages a double-double, scoring 11.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for the defending national champions.
