This is the time of year, when every win or loss is crucial. Your entire season could be catapulted to playoff contention or demoted into the annals of mediocrity. Yesterday’s Week 14 NFL action officially eliminated six teams from the playoffs.
Those six: the Titans, Browns, 49ers, Ravens, Lions and Chargers.
Four of those six teams, are led by good quarterbacks: Matthew Stafford, Marcus Mariota, Philip Rivers and Joe Flacco. Flacco, has won a Super Bowl. Unfortunately, he was ruled out for the regular season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 11.
It proves just how deep the NFL is with good/great quarterbacks. The parody is unlike anything in sports, and continues to dumbfound critics every year.
For the six teams listed, it is now about developing young talent, planning for the draft and prepping for off season contract negotiations and trades.
