UNC unveils new sneakers to go with black uniform vs. UCLA

North Carolina’s men’s basketball team will wear a black uniform for the first time in program history — as was first unveiled back in early October — when it takes on UCLA at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center tomorrow.

While the uniform has already been seen by the masses, UNC pushed the look over the top with some brand new powder blue sneakers which were unveiled Friday.

A picture of the complete uniform was posted to UNC’s official Instagram.

For a first ever black uniform, I must say that the Tar Heels have hit a home run. There’s enough black that the team’s signature blue also manages to be a highly respectable co-star and the sneakers define badass.

I mean, just look at the ram on both sides of the shoe. It simply looks like it’s there to give the players some extra energy.

Tip-off at Barclays is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS, so be sure to tune in!
