Iowa TE Jake Duzey to miss Rose Bowl with knee injury

In 2014, Iowa tight end Jake Duzey was one of the best at his position in the entire conference as he caught 36 passes, the most for Big Ten tight ends. He tore his patella tendon during spring practices and played in a limited role this year.

He didn’t catch a single pass this season and it looks like he won’t be catching anymore this year. According to ESPN, Duzey aggravated the injury in practice earlier this week and the Hawkeyes announced he would miss the team’s Rose Bowl game.

It’s been an improbable year for the Hawkeyes as they went 12-0 for the first time in school history. They were just a yard away from winning the Big Ten championship and making the College Football Playoff.
