Two bros quit jobs, spend year on epic beer road trip

Has anyone here ever wanted to just quit their job and spend a year or so going around the country and tasting the finest beers there are to offer?

Well, two friends did just that, according to BroBible. It all started when Michael Rob, a craft beer enthusiast from Dallas, got pissed off about having to work late Christmas Eve and then drive five hours to his family in San Antonio. He realized that it was time for a life change, so he called up longtime friend Brandon Wurtz and proposed the following idea: 365 breweries in 365 days.

“At first I wanted to take a month off to visit breweries and by the next day I had convinced myself that a month would not be enough,” Michael explains to BroBible. “After making the treacherous drive over [to Brandon’s house] during an ice storm, I threw the idea out of visiting 365 breweries in 365 days and he was immediately all-in…”

“I don’t remember my exact words when he told me,” Brandon adds,  “but it was something along the lines of ‘Hell yeah, I’m in!’ without any hesitation.”

The two spent the next year saving money and bought a car together, a 2004 Honda Odyssey named Homer, and their full story may be seen here.

Needless to say, there’s plenty of reason to be jealous of these guys. Maybe go drown your sorrows in an IPA?
