The men’s basketball game scheduled to be played between Syracuse and Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena has been postponed due to impending inclement weather, according to a tweet from Syracuse Basketball.
Syracuse also announced that the game had been moved to Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET.
Though some fans are grumbling, this was the right thing to do. The east coast is expected to be peppered with snow and high winds, and conditions in terms of getting to the arena early in the day just wouldn’t be ideal. Thus, better to have the game a day later and give the roads a day or so to be cleared.
More importantly, it should still be a great game to watch as both Syracuse and Virginia are going for their fourth ACC wins of the season, so be sure to tune to ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Sunday!
