Nike announces release date for Kyrie Irving shoes that pay homage to Duke

While Kyrie Irving might not be happy with his current situation with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he will go down as one of the best to play for the Duke Blue Devils of the last decade. Nike will soon be honoring Irving and Duke with their newest shoe for the superstar.

The company recently revealed the Kyrie 2’s, one of the young player’s new line of basketball sneakers. The Blue Devils got their own custom colorway for the shoe and it is called the “Alma Mater” for where Irving played his college ball.

Nike announced on Tuesday that the shoe will be available for purchase on Saturday, March 5. You have to see these shoes for yourself to truly appreciate the beauty of what they are.

I can only imagine how fast this line will sell over the next few days. If you are a Blue Devil fan, this is certainly a must-have for your next trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium.
