No. 1 2016 recruit Josh Jackson visiting Michigan State this weekend

Class of 2016 No. 1 overall recruit Josh Jackson is visiting Michigan State this weekend, according to a tweet from 1Nation Elite Sports.

Jackson, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard and McDonald’s All-American who currently plays for Prolific Prep in northern California, is also considering offers from Arizona and Kansas. Jackson has also drawn interest from Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, UNLV, North Carolina, Maryland and Louisville.

And what a recruiting class Jackson would be joining if he were to commit to the Spartans. Michigan State already has commitments from wing Miles Bridges and guard Joshua Langford, both five-star prospects, as well as four-star point man Cassius Winston and four-star power forward Nick Ward. Add Jackson to the mix, and the Spartans suddenly have the best recruiting class of 2016.

But the decision is Jackson’s and Jackson’s alone. Though he is set to make the Spartans his final official visit, he’s going to make the decision he feels is best for himself and his family.
