Coastal Carolina to play Arkansas in 2017

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will be joining the Sun Belt in 2017, making a move from the FCS into the FBS in the process. They will certainly be getting a warm welcome as they will travel to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in their first season.

The Razorbacks announced two non-conference opponents for the 2017 season as they will host the Chanticleers and the TCU Horned Frogs as part of a home-and-home series. Coastal Carolina will receive $1.5 million for their game against Bret Bielema’s club.

The Chanticleers, on the other hand, already have a pretty good lineup of teams for their first game of the 2017 season. They have a game against the Razorbacks and will host the UMass Minutemen and the returning UAB Blazers.

Last season, the Chanticleers went 9-3 and advanced to the FCS Playoffs, falling in an upset to The Citadel Bulldogs in the first round.
