Jim Harbaugh to speak at Paramus Catholic commencement

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh will be the guest commencement speaker at New Jersey’s Paramus Catholic High School at graduation in June, according to NorthJersey.com.

“I have gotten to know Coach Harbaugh pretty well,” Paramus Catholic president Jim Vail said. “I know a great educator when I see one and he always impressed me as a great educator and a great leader. He’s a very dynamic guy.”

Harbaugh was first approached by Paramus Catholic some months back about speaking at graduation, but had to receive approval from the NCAA first since there could be compliance issues. The association gave the green light, and now Harbaugh will speak.

It’s also worth nothing that Paramus Catholic is something of a football hotbed, as Michigan safety Jabrill Peppers attended there and incoming freshman Rashan Gary, the No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2016, is also a proud member of the Paramus Catholic community.

Needless to say, though the NCAA recently banned the satellite camps that Harbaugh put on the map last year, this is a great way for the Michigan coach to establish a further recruiting presence in New Jersey.
