The Buffalo Bills had an impressive start to the 2016 NFL Draft as they picked up arguably two of the best defensive players in the first two rounds. Their second-round selection, linebacker Reggie Ragland, has officially signed his rookie deal.
Ragland was expected to be drafted late in the first round, but fortunately for the Bills, he fell to the second round. He signed the four-year deal following the team’s OTA practice on Tuesday.
“It feels great,” Ragland told Buffalobills.com. “You get this opportunity and you work so hard your whole life as a kid just to be in this position. You’ve put yourself in this position so now you’ve got to come through. So I’m very thankful I got the deal done and now it’s time to get to work.”
Reggie Ragland led the Alabama Crimson Tide to the national championship during the 2015 season and now hopes to bring success to the Bills. He is expected to start alongside fellow inside linebacker Preston Brown.
