Tennessee Tech signs five-year uniform deal with adidas

The Tennessee Tech football team is set to undergo a face-lift prior to the start of the 2016 college football season.

On Tuesday morning, the university announced it has signed a five-year uniform deal with adidas. As a result, the Golden Eagles will receive some fresh new threads moving forward.

It is the perfect start to a new era of football at Tennessee Tech, which will be led by new head coach Marcus Satterfield.

“Tech football and the all-new ‘Tech Tuff’ brand is excited to have adidas as the sponsor for all Golden Eagle football uniforms, apparel, shoes and gear,” Satterfield said in a statement.

“To have adidas as our provider will help us to soar into the next phase of Tennessee Tech football. It is a brand that is recognized worldwide for its quality and excellence. This agreement shows our players, fans and recruits our commitment to be the best football program in the country.”

The uniforms have yet to be unveiled, but they should be released within the coming weeks.

The Golden Eagles kickoff their 2016 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1, when they play host to Wofford University.
