After just one season with the Auburn Tigers, cornerback Tim Irvin has announced that he plans to transfer from the school to continue his career. He said that “it will be better for me to pursue my career elsewhere.”

You may recognize Irvin’s name since he is the nephew of former Miami Hurricanes and Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin. The cornerback certainly has all the skills necessary to excel and he will likely be announcing his new destination soon.

Tim Irvin was a four-star member of the Tigers’ 2015 recruiting class. He played 10 games at nickel corner and started games in which the team came out in a nickel package. He recorded 18 tackles and two pass deflections during his freshman season at Auburn.

Right now, he is reportedly considering East Carolina, Texas and, his uncle’s alma mater, Miami as future landing spots.

Irvin would have to sit out the 2016 season, but would have three years of eligibility left starting in 2017.
