Ricky Williams to open marijuana friendly gym in San Francisco

Everyone’s favorite stoner is back in the headlines. On Friday, it was announced that former NFL running back Ricky Williams is launching a weed-friendly gym in San Francisco later this year, according to Time magazine.

The gym will be named Power Plant Fitness, with plans to open a smoking area outdoors. Gym-goers are also encouraged to use edibles and vape cannabis during their workouts.

“It won’t be a place to get high and just screw around,” Williams’ partner Jim McAlpine. “We are focused on the athletic side, not the cannabis side.”

But while Power Plant Fitness seems like a fun place for marijuana enthusiasts to toke up while they get swole, McAlpine added that there will be a “cannabis performance assessment” to determine how marijuana affects workouts.

So you can now get high in the name of science.

You know what they say: Get your mind right and your body will follow.
