The Texas Tech Red Raiders have had a magical season so far this year and they are looking to keep the magic going into the Super Regional. They defeated Dallas Baptist on Monday to win the Lubbock Regional, just their second win in team history.
It looked like the Red Raiders could be on a path for disappointment this year when they allowed the Patriots to force a Game 7 with a 10-6 win Sunday night. However, they avenged the loss on Monday, holding off Dallas Baptist, 5-3.

The Red Raiders and Patriots battled late into the game and the sixth inning was where things got interesting. Dallas Baptist tied things up thanks to a two-run home run by right fielder Austin Listi, making the score 3-3.
However, Texas Tech regained the lead not minutes later in the bottom half of the inning. Shortstop Orlando Garcia’s two-run RBI double gave his team the lead that they never relinquished again.
The Red Raiders will now face off against the East Carolina Pirates, who stunned the defending national champions, Virgina, to win the Charlottesville Regional, in the Super Regional this weekend.
