Buddy Hield lands multi-year Nike endorsement

One of the best scorers in the nation has landed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike.

On Saturday, The Vertical’s Nick DePaula reported former Oklahoma Sooners star guard Buddy Hield, who is projected to be a lottery pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, recently agreed to the deal.

Many expect the 2015-16 Naismith College Player of the Year to be selected in the top ten of this month’s draft.

The news comes in the same week that Nike agreed to a deal with presumptive No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons, and the company is expected to target many more of this year’s top prospects.

During his senior season at Oklahoma, Hield averaged 25 points, 5.7 rebounds, and two assists.

Hield will learn where he will begin his professional career when the draft takes place on June 23 in New York.
