Video: Ezekiel Elliott embarrasses Byron Jones, Cowboys defense

The Dallas Cowboys selected running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and he is already getting acclimated to the speed of the NFL. He showed off why people are calling him a future Hall of Famer during practice on Friday.

Elliott took a handoff from Tony Romo, who seems to be taking first-team snaps after shoulder surgery, and zipped past the Cowboys’ front line. He made a nasty move on 2015 first-round cornerback Byron Jones and made his way down the field.

It certainly looks like Elliott is well on his way to be the starting back for the Cowboys this season. It also helps that returning starter, Darren McFadden, is out with a fractured elbow and won’t be back until training camp.

Ezekiel Elliott was considered the top running back in the 2016 NFL Draft and he is already proving that on the practice field. I think it is safe to say that fans might want to scoop him up early on in fantasy drafts this year.

The Cowboys open the season on Sept. 11 when they host the New York Giants.
