ACC to expand to 20 conference games in 2019

On Thursday, the ACC officially announced the launch of their ACC network in 2019 with the digital channel beginning later this year. They seemed to slip in an announcement to expand the conference basketball schedule out to 20 games in the near future as well.

This is a big deal for the ACC as they will add 15 total games for the conference to broadcast on its network. This gives them a chance to put more teams like Duke, North Carolina and Syracuse on television over the next few years.

Since there are 15 teams that play basketball in the ACC, it gives fans a chance to see more marquee match-ups, like Louisville/Duke and Virginia/North Carolina, within the conference.

It looks like this could be a big move for the ACC to make as they will give fans much more of what they have been asking for over the last few years.
