NFL Scout compares Myles Garrett to Jadeveon Clowney

Myles Garrett is anticipated to have a big year on the field this 2016 season. The Aggies defensive end has made quite the impression in his pair of seasons with the team, and is expected to get even better as he continues his career.

In his freshman year, Garrett racked up 49 tackles and 11 sacks. During his sophomore season, Garrett surpassed those numbers with 59 total tackles and and 12.5 sacks. He also accumulated five forced fumbles on the season.

With impressive statistics like these, Garrett has caught the eye of many NFL scouts. Recently, he drew a positive comparison to former star South Carolina Gamecock, Jadeveon Clowney.

On Thursday, the Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller took to Twitter to share a comment about Garrett from an AFC West scout.

While Garrett’s talent is comparable to Clowney’s, he can only hope that he doesn’t end up having injuries in common with the NFL player. In his short time in the league, Clowney hasn’t seen the field near as much as he’d like to due to an injury-riddled career.
