One high school baseball player from Iowa City West is going to wake up a hero on Sunday morning after the heroics on Saturday night that lifted his team to the Iowa 4A state championship game.

According to WHOTV, freshman Jason Strunk became the man of the hour when he nailed a three-run walk-off homer to lift his team over Roosevelt High School, 6-5.

Here are the highlights from the game:

It certainly doesn’t suck to be Jason Strunk today, but let’s hope he gets his rest. He and the rest of his teammates need to finish the job by bringing home the state title.

And if they can manage to do so with another walk-off, well, all the better.
