Video: Charles Barkley goes one-on-one with Nick Saban in hilarious interview

Charles Barkley is a former Auburn Tiger and he makes it no secret that he despises the Alabama Crimson Tide. So, when he showed up on the Tuscaloosa campus to interview head football coach Nick Saban, you better believe there could be some animosity between the two.

Saban started off the meeting by giving Barkley some Crimson Tide gear, to which the NBA legend said he could only wear at his house. The former Tiger then told Saban that if he could help fix his golf game, he would put a statue of him up in his front yard.

The Alabama coach talked about how they have pickup basketball games between National Signing Day and the start of spring practice as teambuilding exercises. He said that he gets to pick his team and who guards him.

Saban also mentioned that he only plays point guard, even if head basketball coach Avery Johnson, a 17-year NBA veteran, wants to join.

“When Avery came here, I said ‘Look, if you want to play noon-time basketball with us, you might have to move over off the ball because I’m the point guard. You’re going to have to play two-guard,’” Saban said.

Apparently, whatever Nick Saban wants, Nick Saban gets.
