Leonard Fournette sprains ankle, in walking boot

Try not to panic, LSU fans, but Leonard Fournette is in a walking boot.

On Tuesday, Tigers head coach Les Miles spoke to the media and delivered the news that the team’s star running back suffered an ankle sprain during the LSU scrimmage.

While the team and its fans would obviously prefer a healthy Leonard Fournette going into the season, the good news is that the injury appears to be minor.

And as far as Fournette is concerned, he will be just fine.

Hopefully Fournette will be able to return to 100 percent in time for the start of the season. After all, the Tigers have a tough matchup to start the new year as they travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Wisconsin Badgers.

Having a Heisman Trophy favorite in the backfield for that opener would be preferred.
