USF makes spelling error in pitch to Big 12

The USF Bulls are one of a handful of teams hoping to join the Big 12 as the conference considers expanding by two or four teams. Unfortunately, the university is going to need to drastically improve its sales pitch if it wants to be considered.

Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times shared a photo of the Bulls’ promotional material that was sent to Big 12 officials.

In the very first paragraph as the schools brags about the fact it is a top-25 institution in research productivity, there is a noticeable spelling mistake. “Research” is misspelled as “reasearch” and, well, you know that was an oversight they will wish they didn’t make.

Of course, the school quickly noticed the error and made a change.

If at first you don’t succeed, just make sure you can quickly edit.
