Ohio State WR Torrance Gibson suspended for fall semester

Just a few days from the start of the 2016 college football season, the Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver depth took a hit when it was announced Torrance Gibson has been suspended for the fall semester.

Ohio State announced the news in a statement on Monday.

Ohio State red-shirt freshman wide receiver Torrance Gibson has been suspended from The Ohio State University for the 2016 fall semester for a violation of the University’s student code of conduct.

Gibson was a four-star quarterback recruit out of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before making the transition to wide receiver.

At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds, Gibson certainly has the size to excel at his position.

However, he will need to get his act together off the field if he wants to remain a member and contributor for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State kicks off its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 against Bowling Green at home.
