Michigan’s first game of the college football season certainly didn’t start off the way they would have hoped. Wilton Speight recently beat out John O’Korn for the starting quarterback job, but his first throw of the season didn’t go too well.
Speight dropped back to pass and looked for a man down field on the first play. However, he found Hawaii’s Damien Parker for an interception.

However, the Rainbow Warriors ran into the Wolverines’ defense as they couldn’t get anything going. Speight got the ball back and tossed a touchdown pass to Grant Perry to take the 7-0 lead early.
