BYU football honors Harambe with Snapchat filter

Harambe, everyone’s favorite gorilla who rose to fame after his tragic death at the Cincinnati Zoo, has become the internet meme that people just can’t seem to get enough of. You can include the BYU football program in that mix.

For Saturday’s season-opener against the Arizona Wildcats, BYU created a special Snapchat filter that honored the fallen, fury hero.

A handful of people shared the hilarious Snapchat filter, which showed Harambe suited up in a BYU uniform with the captain “Roc out for Harambe,” on social media.

That is next level stuff. Thank you, BYU for keeping the memory of Harambe alive. We will continue to “roc out” in his honor for eternity. It’s what he would have wanted.
