Georgia DE Jonathan Ledbetter remains suspended

When the Georgia Bulldogs travel to Columbia for a Week 3 SEC clash with Missouri, they will once again be without the services of defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter.

Ledbetter was suspended following a DUI arrest this summer. It was his second alcohol-related arrest of the offseason.

Under Georgia Athletic Association guidelines, Ledbetter was forced to miss the first two games of the season. However, head coach Kirby Smart announced on Monday that Ledbetter will remain suspended for the trip to Mizzou.

Smart answered the question about whether Ledbetter would return with a simple, “No,” according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

The former four-star recruit could instantly become a factor along a defensive front that is littered with inexperience. Ledbetter played in seven games as a freshman in 2015.

The 1-1 Bulldogs return to action Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
