Magic Johnson, Mike Golic place bet on Michigan State-Notre Dame game

This weekend’s meeting between the No. 12 Michigan State Spartans and No. 18 Notre Dame Fighting Irish has some high stakes riding on it in the ESPN Radio studios.

On Friday, former Michigan State star and NBA legend Magic Johnson called in to ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning to make a little wager with host Mike Golic, a proud Notre Dame alum.

Johnson called in to propose a fun little bet regarding the outcome of the game.

If Michigan State wins, Golic must wear a Spartans jersey on air. With a Fighting Irish victory, Johnson must don the Notre Dame colors. On top of wearing the opposite team’s jersey, the loser will have the winner’s “favorite dessert”  smashed into their face on air.

Golic was quick to take the bet.

It’s always fun to see how these bets play out on live television, so we’ll have to tune back in next week to watch the loser face their punishment.

Michigan State and Notre Dame are set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
