Heisman Watch 2016: Top 5 front-runners entering Week 4

It’s that time of week again. As Week 4 of the college football season is set to kickoff, it’s time to take a look at the current Heisman Watch and the standout players in college football.

After yet another wild week of action across the nation and as we prepare to hit the one-month mark of the season, the Heisman race is beginning to shape up.

Players like Deshaun Watson, Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette and Baker Mayfield, who entered the season as Heisman favorites, have all watched their 2016 campaigns get off to a slow start and have since been removed from the top five. After a hot start, Greg Ward Jr. of Houston, who has been dealing with a shoulder issue, has also stumbled from the rankings, while a do-everything player and a star rusher from the Mountain West jump into the top five.

At the top of the rankings, we have some familiar faces, headlined by the undisputed star of the first three weeks of the season.

Who enters Week 4 of the college football season as the leaders in the Heisman race?

We have all of that and more in this week’s Heisman Watch.
