Sebastian Janikowski now all-time leader with 50-yard FGs

In the 2000 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders shocked everyone when they drafted kicker Sebastian Janikowski in the first round. However, he has certainly worked out over the last 17 years and on Sunday, he set an NFL record.

In the first quarter of the Raiders’ game with the Tennessee Titans, Janikowski booted a 52-yard field goal. That was the 53rd of his career, which set the NFL all-time record for most outside of 50 yards.

That is pretty amazing and if you don’t believe he is a future Hall of Famer, then you better think again.

Janikowski is the Raiders’ all-time leading scorer and was named to the NFL All-Pro team in 2011. He also hold multiple NFL records including longest field goal in overtime from 57 yards out, most field goals in one quarter with four and the most attempted 60-plus yard field goals in a career with eight.

Yeah, I think the Raiders will never regret their decision of the first round pick in 2000.
