Michigan State’s Jon Reschke ‘out for a significant time period’

The Michigan State Spartans have suffered another major hit at linebacker.

On Tuesday, Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio announced the team will be without veteran linebacker Jon Reschke for a “significant time period.” Reschke is reportedly dealing with an ankle sprain.

There is no word on how long the injury will sideline Reschke, but Dantonio remains optimistic that the linebacker will be able to return by the end of the season.

This is just the latest blow to the Michigan State linebacking corp. Over the weekend, senior captain Riley Bullough was sidelined with an undisclosed injury and he remains listed as day-to-day.

The Spartans will look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Wisconsin when they return to the field on Saturday against Indiana.
